We recommend a dry install. This material is forgiving if you lay it down slightly off and pull it back up as long as you have not firmly pushed down a majority of it. The material has air egress channels to make it easier to install and get bubbles out with your fingers. Some squeegees can be too hard and scratch the material or you'll accidentally scratch your paint.
Prepare the vehicle by cleaning the lower part of the door. Do not clean it with a wash and wax type product. You are trying to remove all residue from the paint. This goes for the OUTSIDE and the INSIDE of the door. The inside of the door catches a lot of dirt and debris. The paint on the inside of the door must be clean so you can wrap the vinyl around it.
Adhesion increases with pressure and heat.
Start with the front door and note our pictures. You want to get 100 percent coverage of the lower part of the door. Once you have this installed, start at the front of the back door and align it to the front door. We chose to line up the rear part of the back door with the edge of where the factory side skirt meets the metal body. This can also be seen in the pictures.
Optionally, you can install additional stickers on top of the 3D carbon like our 6" STI stickers (sold separately)
