In some rare instances, the boxer engines have had issues where the actual pulley can slip off due to inherent vibration caused from the horizontal design. With that said, if the pulley does slip off, the provided timing belt guide oftentimes cannot do its job and contain the belt because it’s simply not strong enough.
Tomei has re-engineered their own design cut straight out of aluminum, with an extended length to securely apply more tention to the timing belt. This product will come in hand when immediate changes in torque are experienced by the engine, eliminating belt whip. The anodized surface creates a smooth and precise belt track as well.
This component will come in a nice black finish with a white Tomei logo, and hardware will be included to make this component ready for the installation.
